Mary Jane ACREY, born 12 Sep 1845 in Harris County, Georgia; died 3 Sep 1938 in Clanton, Chilton County, Alabama. Mary Jane ACREY married Seth Winford MOORE on 18 Nov 1866 in Macon County, Alabama. Seth Winford MOORE was born on 26 May 1840 in Harris/Taliaferro County,Georgia. Seth and Mary Jane are my paternal gg-grandparents.

Seth Winford MOORE's mother's maiden name was SAXTON.

Mary Jane ACREY'S father was William M. ACREY, born before 1845 in Georgia; he died before 17 Sep 1925 in Butler County,Alabama.

Taliaferro(pronounced "Tol-i-ver")County was established on Dec. 24, 1825, created from portions of Greene, Hancock, Oglethorpe, Warren, and Wilkes counties. The following is a brief history of Taliaferro County:
Taliaferro County, 1830
Taliaferro County, 1834
Harris County, 1839
Taliaferro County, 1846

I would like to share information with people connected with these Georgia and Alabama Acrey, Moore, and Saxon Families.

Mary Estes Lovett
