"Whilst they were in London, Lord Ilchester's family also used the services of Mr. Trusdale ( Truesdale ), who must be John Trusdale, apothecary, of St Jame's St, London, one of the two 'apothecaries to the King's person in 1779
( "The Medical Register for the Year 1779", p.18).
Truesdale was consulted by the Duke and Duchess of Richmond in 1750, and also by Henry and Caroline Fox.
A surgeon who appears to have practised both in London and Dorchester was Adair Hawkins, who supported and advised Susan O'Brien at the time of her operation in 1779."
