There has been much confusion about the JAMES ADAIR listed in the 1840 census records in Paulding Co. Georgia.
In the Ancestry.com census records, the name "James Lee Adair" (s/o Bozeman Adair) has been added; however, the ages of this James Lee & his children's ages & sex of children do not match the Males -Females that are in the 1840 Paulding Census Records. I believe this was James Adair b. 08 Jun 1790 (s/o John Adair & Jean Faires) . . because the birth dates do match the 1840 census in Paulding Co. GA.
I appears to me this is the correct family in Paulding co. GA in 1840: Ancestry.com Census Images on line - Image No. 3 out of 6:
