William Miles Adair, born 06 Jan 1837 in Randolph County, IL was the twin brother of my great grandmother, Mary Jane Adair. According to my records, William, a captain in the Illinois Militia in the Civil War, married Parthenia Harmon, born 11 Sep 1844 in Swanwick, Randolph County, IL. She is said to have died childless (date unknown), but William was the father of a son, William J. Adair, born 25 May 1863 and a daughter, Blanche, born in 1865. Might someone have a record of a second wife for William Miles Adair, or evidence that Parthenia Harmon really bore him children?
