What you can do is email the administrators of the DNA projects to see if anyone has DNA tested for your specific ancestors.
I do know the Sparks family was in Rowan NC, Wilkes, NC. Check these areas for Sparks. Also Check the Melungeon board here. There are many Sparks posts there and the surname board for Sparks.
After a while woman loose their surname. As you get further back in general. I have a few that I dont even have a first name for a wife. No marriages. Have you tried the Lane or Holcomb surname board? Maybe someone has a bible record or a Will left by Sarah's father or family that might lead you to a place she was born in TN. Sometimes you may find a probate record if no will was made.
