Thomas J Fox was b 1820 in Walton Co Georgia. His Civil War papers and Mexican-American War papers describe him as
having dark complexion, dark hair and dark eyes. I have been researching the FOX surname for about 10 years and still do not have leads for his parentage. I continue to look at the possibility of an Indian connection through his maternal line. Was there a Creek reservation in the early 1800s in the Walton Co GA area and is there a source of information I could use to help with my research? After his discharge from the Army in 1848, Thomas J Fox settled in Choctaw Co MS. He lived there until 1861. He is not part of the other FOX group in that area. Thank you for any information you can share. Fran
