Which grandfather's side? The Crofoot side is: Archie Monroe Crofoot b. July 1882 in Michigan son of John A. (Archie John) Crofoot b. 1851 in Canada (English) married Ella Drew abt 1877 son of John Crofoot b. 1804 in England Family immigrated from Canada to Michigan, Livingston County, Putman before 1860 U.S. Federal Census where the family is listed. John A Crofoot b. Mar 1851 in 1900 census has immigration year as 1859 with wife Ella b.May 1857 in MI married abt 1874. Living in Isoco, Livingston, MI John Crofoot born 1804 has wife Charlotte b. 1814 in New Brunswick (married abt 1840/41) with 2 oldest children born New Brunswick then the next 4 children including John A age 10 (1850/1851) in Canada. Archie M married Catherine E Loree 1908 according to another post reply on Illinois State message board. In 1930 cenusue Archie M is listed as divorced and living in nephew's household (as Uncle) of a John G Haarer or Hoarer. Mother of Archie L and JB is listed as Katherina Crofoot "mother" age 42 a widow (some people wouldn't admit to being divorced in those days) living in the household of son Archie L Crofoot age 19 single in Stockbridge, Ingham County MI. You will need to reseach the families of the women who married Crofoot men for NA ancestry as it looks like it isn't the paternal Crofoot side. But John A's wife Ella Drew b. MI looks like parents born in NY according to 1870 MI Livingston Marion Twsp census. Zebulon M and Marina Drew are in 1880 census you can see for free at Ancestry and www.familyseach.org (LDS Family History. Also Catherine Loree's parents are born in MI and thier parents NY too. Joseph and Permelia Loree married abt 1888 in MI. Need to look at Charlotte married John b. 1804 in New Brunswick family line. Notify Administrator about this message?
