Hi William,

I don't have the answer for you but just wanted to point out that my William Akin was in Clark county at an early date, perhaps as early as 1806. I haven't seen anything, though, to indicate that he was related to Josiah.

William died sometime in the 1820s. His wife is listed on the 1830 census for Clark county as "wid". There are two other women on that page likewise listed. It makes me wonder if there was an incident in which several settlers were killed.
