A biography/family history of Jefferson Akins is included in "Montana, Its Story & Biography", Vol 2, page 142 &143
Parents: John & Mary (Halbert) Akins, born in TN & MO, respectively.
On 10 June 1894, Jefferson married Miss Louise Cresap, who was born in Saline County, MO, daughter of William P. & Julia (Porter) Cresap. Akins children: Bohnda (Mrs. R.E. Dockery), Jerre H., Marion, Willard, Bruce.
Jefferson came to Deer Lodge, MT, in 1900, and located in Lewistown, MT, 1901.
