I have a Rachel Akins born 1811 in NC. Married Jahile or Jahial Helton born 1802 in SC. They married 17 Dec 1836 in Shoemake Creek, GA. They had the following children.
Elizabeth b. 1837 ,GA
Nancy b. 1839,GA
John b.1841,GA
George W. b. 1843 GA
Joel b.1844 GA >Twin
Joseph b.1844,GA >Twin
Jahial Mc Donald b.1846 ,GA
Caroline b.1848,GA
Milly A. b.1854 ,GA
Joseph's family ended up in Grundy,TN in the 1880 census. I am pretty sure Jahile and Rachel stayed in Georgia to the end of their lifes. I am looking for anything on Rachel Akins parents, siblings, etc.
