I am looking for a male descentent of Theodore Alexander 1 of Oconee County Co. SC for willing to do a DAR test on this line.
Theodore Alexander is descended from the following.
He was the son of James Simpson Alexander, WHO DIED IN the Civil War and is buried in the Hollywood Cemetary in Richmond, Va. His marker is close to the large Pyrimid.
James' wife was Frances Jane Crosby.
James' father was Thomas Alexander b 3 Oct 1795 and married to Jane Wood of Spartanburg, SC
This Thomas is the one that a DNA could tell us which line of Alexanders we descend from He could have been born in Virginia.
I have been working on this line since 1965 and just recently I thought we descended from James Alexander in Spartinburg (another line). I would appreciate so very much if one of these descendents would do a DNA. Grace Alexander Elkins
