Thank you so much for this. My e-mail is patwelch63@hotmail.com. I've been working night and day on this and need whatever information you can share.

Since I'm a female, I had my cousin do the DNA test. My surname is Welch, but my DNA showed the name is Alexander.I suspected it was not Welch as I've researched many years.

Upon checking for Alexanders living in the county of my g-reat-great grandmother, Sarah Ann Wyatt, b. 1840 Ga in San Augustine--I found that Caleb or one of his son's are highly probable the father of her children. Amazing!

On my maternal side my great-great grandfather Evan Morgan married Esther Alexander, dau of Silas and Esther(Brown)...Evan's first wife. Evan's second wife Nancy Jane Shott is my descendant.

Do you have anything on the wives of Caleb? I need the maiden name of Susan C., and Mary. I found a marriage for Julian Daughtery to Caleb Alexander in Rusk Co. 5 April 1851. Nancy Shot (Choat) and daughter Susan was in Rusk Co. 1850.

Thank you for your great help. Both my lines go back to Cecil, Maryland so far but I'm just beginning to put this together.
