Thanks Dave (W). Yes, I spoke some 26 years ago to Clarence Bell, my father's cousin, who told me that there was an Alexander Re-union in Lewistown, PA about 2 or 3 years before and it was determined that none of our family were related to this other family -- which sounds like yours. I too am participating in the DNA Y-project and yes, it confirms that we are not related, but also - strangely - we have thus far found no connection to the Cecil County, Maryland groups, nor to the NC groups, though we know from history that there were familial connections.
