Hi Stacy and David,
I thought this sounded familiar. In the Alexander DNA Project we have a member whose grandfather was:
"Ernest Ezra Alexander, (9 Mar 1895-30 Jun 1979) born in Greenup, KY died in Chillicothe OH. Married Edith Jane Cohn (22 Jul 1901-28 Nov 1994), marriage date unknown. Ernest also married to Opal Ater (c. 1935) and Mary Downing (c. 1978)"
This seems to me to be the Earnest living with W. F. that David mentions.
This member has not been able to trace himself further back than that but it looks like you two have made some progress in that area. He does not yet match any other DNA tester.
We have another member to whom this member is NOT related by way of DNA. His Carter Co. ancestor was a son of a Greenup Alexander:
"George Washington Alexander b. 1843 Carter County, KY d. 18-Oct-1933 Williamsburg, Ohio married: Valeria Horner b. 6-Jul-1861 Pine Grove, Ohio in Greenup County, KY
4-Jan-1880"
Hope this helps. I will notify the grandson of Earnest of this.
