Hello Betty, The family story is that a Lois (Loes on her tombstone) married John (Johann Blindt) Blend circa 1784. Their first child is Michael Blen, born in Greene County 1785.
In the 1790 census they are listed as John Blin in Durham, Green County. They subsequently have a son, Abraham, bapt. 1797 in Caughnawaga, NY. We do not have any children for the time span between 1785 and 1797. Unusual for the period when a child born every 2 years was normal. There must be some unknown females somewhere in NY. Both are buried in Oneonta, NY. Any information that just MIGHT apply to Lois ALL would be appreciated. I would like to follow up with you on the VanAller name. Regards, Pat Blend
