I am the grandson of Archbold Allan of Millport and Joan (Jean) Houston) of Largs. They married and came to New Zealand around 1910 I think. Had three children, Anne who died at birth, or just before, my dad, John and a girl Margaret. My day died about 30 years ago and Margaret last year.
John had 2 children, Judith Anne Allan and me, Stephen John Allan.
Judith has two boys, Andrew Allan Bagley and Scott John Bagely.
I have three children, Robert William Allan, Cameron Francis Allan and Kathryn Bronwyn Allan,
Margaret had three girls... Linda Margaret (?) Hirst (who has 2 children, Kathryn and Alistair, Jennifer ? Hirst (2 children, Signe and ?) and Susan ? Hirst (no childen).
There is also another branch of the family here in New Zealand. William Allan (married to Elspeth Dodds) of Glasgow whose father was a brother of Archibold... I think his name was Hugh. They had four children, Hugh, Billy (William), Ainsley and Jackie (John). William Allan died about 10 years ago.
I have more dates and accurate records of this part of the family tree.
