Looking for more info on my GGrandfather John Allan in the mid 1800's. I don't know much about his birth, but he (supposedly) married Isabella Brown and had a son James (my GGrandfather)around 1878. He was deceased when James married Isabella Neilson in 1898 and lived on Muse Lane (now Lambert st) in Glasgow. James and Isabella went on to have a son John, (my Grandfather)and James, Gavin, And Hugh, and two daughters Agnes? and Peggy?. My grandfather John Married a Jane Elizabeth McLardy in 1925 and had two sons, James and Duncan (my father). I can't seem to find any record of John and Isabella Brown marrying, or their births or deaths. It's like they don't exist on paper. I would like to go back even one or two generations more if anyone has a match to these names.
