Patsy:
Thanks so much for this information. I am going to keep looking at it against my files and see if I can come up with anything. Now, get this - my great grandfather's name was John Westley Allen and he went by the name of West Allen! Spelled it West and not Wes. It is listed that way in the original Bible record I have.
Parks family was from Wilkes Co., NC and I have seen information that Hannah Allen was born in Wilkes Co., NC but haven't really seen any proof. If you don't know, the M. M. in Hannah's name stands for Mary Magdalene. If you do not now have the names of Hannah's and John's 8 children - I do have them if you still need that info. I'm assuming that what you wrote on this was copied from a previous email from your contact. John Parks married Elizabeth Allen in Upson Co., GA on Mar. 28, 1858. Hannah & John had a son named Hiram Allen Parks and one named Zachariah Job Parks. All these names seem to tie in. There must be a connection somewhere. Anything else you find out, please let me know.
Regards and again, thanks,
MaryAnn
