A family Bible is being auctioned on Ebay that contains family information for the Allyn and allied Gray family of Mystic, CT. The Bible dates from 1839 and is item # 250025234813 I am not the seller and don't know anything else about this. But I hope this information will be useful to someone.

This leather covered Bible contains 1214 pages and was printed in 1839. It is inscribed in 1842 as belonging to the Allyn family of Ledyard and Mystic CT. Family births, marriages and deaths recorded in the Family Record section of this Bible.

A: I am afraid there are too many to list them all. Bible belonged to Julia Ann Allyn (Gray) who married Ames M. Allyn in 1842. She received the Bible in 1846.According to other information listed therein the Allyn's were decended from Elder Rufus Allyn who died in 1786. A separate listing also shows the Gray genealogy. Last entry in Bible is dated 1911
