Seeking to find death and burial dates and location for Josephine Allyn Caborn, b. abt Jan 1858 in Posey County, IN. She first married Walter Caborn 11 Nov 1875 in Posey County, IN. Walter died 26 Jul 1884. Walter and Josephine had at least one child, Grace, b 26 Aug 1876. There may have been other children who died young. Grace was a singer and voice teacher; she never married and died 26 Mar 1932 in Los Angeles, CA. Grace's remains were cremated. Josephine married a second time to Francis Hancock 11 Dec 1890 in Posey County. This marriage apparently did not work out and Josephine married a third time to Dr. Cadwallader Hicks, 19 Feb 1900 in Cook County, IL. This marriage ended in divorce in Oct 1907 in Posey County, IN, and Josephine resumed using Caborn as her surname. Josephine and Grace moved away from Posey County, first to Chicago, then to the west coast. Josephine was living at Compton, CA in 1930 and in Long Beach in 1938. A search for Josephine's death record in the LA city and county death records for 1936 through 1940 was negative, as was a search of the indices on Vital-Search.
