I am searching for information regarding Harriet Hubbard, b. abt. 1812 in PA, d/o Stephen S. Hubbard (b. abt. 1790 in CT) and Jemima Brooks (b. abt. 1796 in Haddam, Middlesex Co., CT, d/o Joseph Brooks and Jemima Shaylor). Harriet m. 1st a Mr. VanSlyke, 2nd Mr. Anguish, and 3rd Mr. Wright. After residing in PA, the Hubbard family moved to NYS. Other siblings in the Hubbard household include: Wakeman B. Hubbard, b. 28 Jan 1814 in PA (who remained in Bradford Co., PA, and was a prominent citizen there; he m. Lurena Merritt and had three children); Norton Hubbard, b. abt. 1816 in PA (he m. Emily Bodurtha, b. in MA; they had at least four children and moved to MI after 1853); Nehemiah "Brainard" Hubbard, b. abt. 1820 in PA (he m. Marentha (?) and had at least five chldren; they moved to MI between 1856 and 1859); Elias Hubbard, b. abt. 1832 in NY (he m. 1st Harriet "Hattie" Voorhees; Hattie d. abt. age 19 and is buried in Wetona Cemetery, Springfield Twp., Bradford Co., PA; they had one daughter; later in life Elias lived in MI and MO); Lovinia Hubbard, b. abt. 1838 in NY (m. William Bailey; Lovinia became a widow while living in MI; they had at least 8 chidren). I have some information on each of Harriet's siblings, but very little on Harriet herself. In the 1860 Federal Census for Bainbridge Township, Berrien Co., MI, Harriet Anguish is listed in the household of her brother, Elias Hubbard. Also listed in the household is Elias's daughter, and his (and Harriet's) mother, Jemima Hubbard. Harriet is found in her own household in the 1870 Federal Census for MI. She has since re-married to a Mr. Wright, but is again listed as a widow. Her mother and niece are residing with her. Jemima and Stephen Hubbard are buried in Berrien Co., MI. Harriet is supposed to be buried with or near them. Any information regarding Harriet's marriage to Mr. Anguish or any information regarding her, her previous marriages or her family would be appreciated. Lynne B.
