Michael, I can get you from Christian Ankney (1749-1824) who served in the Revolutionary War through his son Christian Ankney (1782-1864) to his son William B. Ankney (1819-1900). That is as far as I can get you on your proof of descent for application to the SAR. I am descended from William's daughter Julia Ann Ankney (1849-1939) who was a sister to your ancestor Norman B. Ankney (1844-1925). Do you know what the middle initial B stands for in William and Norman's names?
