Hello Billie, So sorry to be so long in replying to your query - I have been away most of the year. As for indigent burials, I know there is a section of Bentonville Cemetery that is a pauper's corner. We also have located the remains of what is believed to be the Poor Farm Cemetery, located next to where the Poor Farm formerly stood. No makers there. Further research on this is forthcoming (i.e. I am working on it!!) Civil War veterans - there is no cemetery in Benton County specifically dedicated to Civil War veterans. We have many veterans "mixed in" with others in our cemeteries - many with Civil War markers. Please visit my Cemeteries of Benton County page: http://www.geocities.com/ozarkgarden/benton/cemeteries/cembenton.html Billie, please feel free to come back and post with names of specific individuals you are looking for, and I will see what I can do. Or email me privately (email is on my website). Best wishes, Stacey Davis County Coordinator, Benton County ALHN Notify Administrator about this message?
