Hi Mike,
Rebecca and Joseph Howard were listed in the 1860 U.S. Census, Richwoods Township, Lawrence County Ark. On the census she is listed as being 30 years old so I would say she was born about 1830 or so. Her birthplace is listed as Tenn. As I say, I recently learned from another writer to the Forum that her last name was Rogers but I don't know the father's first name. Her mother is said to be Anna Moore. They lived in Black Rock, Arkansas which is in Lawrence County. I have learned that Joseph Howard, husband of Rebecca was a minister at New Hope Baptist Church there in Lawrence Co Ark in the year 1865. I'm ordering a copy of the old minutes as they say he's listed several times in them. Another writer told me that Rebecca and Joseph Howard are listed in the Bledsoe Co Tenn Census earlier. So I have a few clues but am still trying to locate the right Rogers line. Hope this helps. Thanks, Dru
