I am researching my ggrandfather and ggrandmother, Andrew J. and Rebecca MAYLAND's descendants.
They were listed in Independence CO. in the 1850 census, with son George W. 13, Mary Caroline 5 and Orson 3.
George and Andrew were killed in the Battle of Shiloh.
Mary married William C. MATLOCK, in 1861. They had a son and a daughter, Kelly Monroe, b. 1867 and Sarah, born 1869, repectively
Mary died after 1870 and before 1878 when William remarried.
Orson was said to have been living in Lawrence Co sometime after.
Who and when did he marry? I would like any information on any of the above. I never knew about any of them before 1991.
Would appreciate any and all leads. Thank you all.
