Alsop's History of the Arkansas Press (pub. abt. 1920) describes three Southworth brothers...Walter S., James C., Eddie L. (and possibly Luther F.) as newspaper editors and publishers in various towns in NE AR...including Walnut Ridge, Hoxie, Salem, Hardy, and Ash Flat.
They were sons of Winfield Scott Southworth (1847-1928), ordained minister, and Mary E. Clark, and grandsons of Benjamin N. Southworth (1799-1867) and Moses C. Clark.
Have extensive data on W.S. Southworth line...very interested in working with anyone with similar interest.
