I just stumbled on your posting ...for some reason I did not get the usual message reply in my email.

Re the PARKER in my family lines ...it was a marriage in Little Rock AR I think and is a sideline from my COOPERs who were in St. Francis / Monroe Co AR.

Here is a little background that may or may not help ...

It took me quite awhile to unravel this family as my mother was given the middle name Clotine and grew up thinking the name came from a family friend, when indeed it seems to have come from a niece of my mother's grandmother. My mother was born Frances Clotine WASHBURN 1920 Newport, AR to Audrey McLAIN b 1900 Newport AR and Robert E. L. WASHBURN b 1897 St. Louis MO. Audrey McLAIN's mother was Clara COOPER b 1878 Monroe Co AR and became in 1898 the 2nd wife of William David McLAIN, b 1859 Lawrence Co, Walnut Ridge, AR. Helping me, and often confusing me also, with my genealogy is a huge collection of old photos and memorabelia passed along to me that belonged to Audrey McLAIN and her mother Clara COOPER McLAIN ..including photos of a "Clotine PARKER" and her son Henry HODGES. And here is a bit of the story ....

My great grandmother Clara COOPER McLAIN, born 1878 in Monroe Co., Brinkley, AR had a half-sister, Annie, who lived in the Dillard L. COOPER and wife Parthenia's household in Brinkley in 1880. Parthenia, born ANDREWS 1835 in Wilkes GA, had 3 marriages: HOUSE, then HOLLEMAN / HOLMAN, then Dillard L. COOPER.

Obe of her children I think -- Annie ?HOLMAN or COOPER (born AR 1874ish)--and in the Dillard L. COOPER household in 1880 Monroe Co, Brinkley AR-- married Henry H.HUNNICUTT in 1891 in Monroe County. (I have photos of them) Annie and Henry had a daughter, Clotine HUNNICUTT b 1894, who married #1 to a Henry HODGES--and they had a son, Henry HODGES b 1918 AR who died 1987 in Los Angeles, CA. He was married and had a son Scott I think, but I don't have the name of Henry Jr's wife.

I think Henry HODGES Sr's parents might have lived in Monroe County in the 1800s.

After her husband Henry HODGES died, Clotine Hunnicutt HODGES married a James PARKER. I found them on the 1930 census in Little Rock, ARK---James PARKER, Clotine, Henry Hodges the son (age 11) and the father-in-law Henry HUNNICUT. Later on Clotine H. HODGES PARKER married again--to a Buck CROSS.

That's about all I have.
Audrey
