From the loose probate papers of Lawrence County, Arkansas. It contains one that you can sight as a source.

Guardianship for Narcissa J., Mary C., Sarah C., and Martha E. (minors) was given to Nancy Ellis on December 20, 1854. On June 7, 1856, a John Nutt was appt'd guardian. These were the children of William and Nancy C. Ellis.

On Feb. 10, 1856, the widow, Nancy C. Ellis had married John Nutt in Greene County, Arkansas.

This may not help, but I hope is does ...

Here is the 1850 ensus data;

Ellis James 78 PA
Ellis Mary C 3 Arks
Ellis Nancy C 24 Tenn
Ellis Narcissa J 4 Arks
Ellis Sarah C 1 Arks
Ellis William 27 Mo
