I wish to correspond with anyone researching/representing the very early families to this area of northeast Arkansas. . .Wm. Russell. . .Lewis DeMun. . .Wm. Compton. . .Edward McDonald. . .Peyton Pittman. . .Wm. Hix. . .Bazel Boran. . .Lewis Boatright. . .Kuykenhahl. . . Adam Lawrence. . .Michah Harris. . .Joseph Campbell. . .Daniel Cunningham. . .Andrew Gullett. . .John Pierce. . .Thomas Delaney. . .George Miller. . .others.

Our William Robinson was named as one of the first Lawrence County Commissioners when Lawrence County was established in 1815.

He lived in Columbia Township. Very early it was referred to as Fourche de Thomas.

He was active in the affairs of the area, and served as a Justice of the Peace for Columbia Township.

He is NOT the son of James and Sarah ROBERTSON of Lawrence County. That William was dead prior to 1843.

William Robinson's Texas character certificates indicate he was in this location as early as 1810.

He lived there until December of 1821 or perhaps January of 1822, when he moved his family down the Southwest Trail to Hempstead County or "old" Miller County near the Red River.

I look forward to exchanging information with others from these earliest families.

Thank you for your time and attention to my request for information.

Maggie Robinson
Houston, Texas
