Yes, ma'am. Roberson and Robinson are confusing. My grandmother's own brother switched to Robinson for a while, before returning to Roberson. The families are all related and somewhere there was a "tiff" and those in Lonoke County, AR, started spelling it two different ways. Census takers were horrible with the spelling of last names. Often times the individuals they were speaking with did not know how to read, write or spell so they could not correct them.
I do have the 1880 census, and do know that it is my family but with a mispelling of the last name.
What was the location of the census where Mollie is listed as a widow? I pulled a lot of John Robinson's in Johnson County, TN but none yet with a wife named Mollie. Still searching for you.
