DOES ANYONE KNOW THESE McAFEE's in Marion Co. AR in 1890 and 1900 ? We see an ELVIRA McAFEE listed as age 3 in household of her parents JIM H. McAFEE and wife MOLLEY McAFEE and we think that this child was probably named for Family. My own GGG Grandmother was an ELVIRA McAFEE b. 1804 - 1805 in NC who had lived in GA with her children and then she also moved to AR in about 1853 it is believed and is found on the 1850 Marion Co. AR Census as ELVIRA SUTTON the mother of SPENCER McAFEE whose wife was ADELINE LANCE. Elvira Sutton probably had married a 2nd husband named SUTTON in GA and he probably died in GA and she then moved with her son SPENCER McAFEE to ARKANSAS in about 1853 as he is then found on TAX LIST of FULTON CO. AR in 1853 - 1859 and is in MARION CO. AR by 1860 with his 2nd wife and mother ELVIRA SUTTON. Adeline is actually HANNAH ADELINE LANCE the daughter of NANCY LANCE who is on the 1850 IZARD CO. AR Census, and Hannah Adeline Lance McAfee's brothers are then shown on both the 1860 FULTON CO. AR Census, as well as the 1860 Marion Co. AR census. BENJAMIN FRANKLIN LANCE is on the 1860 MARION CO. AR as is his sister ADELINE LANCE McAFEE.
Recently found is the book of the 1890 Marion Co. AR census showing a JOSEPH McAFEE b. GA listed.
