I am searching for information on William Emory ARCHER born @1905 AR. The father of William Emory ARCHER had died in AR and his Mother, Fannie Beatrice Thomas (1) Archer had moved to Ada, Oklahoma to help her Mother run a hotel. Fannie was serving food at the hotel when she met William TALLEY and married him by 1910.
William Emory ARCHER was in Ada, Pontotoc Co.,OK 1910 Census with his Mother, Fannie Beatrice & step-father William TALLEY. They were living in the hotel belonging to the Mother of Fannie Beatrice TALLEY.
Fannie's Mom was named Mary "Mollie" Ann FOWLER (1) MEEK (2)THOMAS, (3) TUCKER. Mary Ann Fowler was born 1855 TX.
Fannie had a little girl, Fern Talley on Dec 20, 1911.
Fannie was caring for William Talley's sick Nephew's and Niece's when she caught T.B. also. Fannie Beatrice THOMAS (1) ARCHER (2) TALLEY died Aug 30, 1913.
William TALLEY took his daughter, Fern, and moved away after a disagreement with Mary TUCKER. William TALLEY then put Fern in an Orphanage for awhile and later took her out of the Orphanage and raised her.
William Emory ARCHER was raised by Mary "Mollie" Ann TUCKER, who was a widow and now living in Maud, OK.
On the 1920 Census William Emory ARCHER is shown in Maud, Oklahoma with Mary Ann TUCKER. William is 15 years old and Mary is 64 years old. Mary no longer own's a hotel and she shows as a maid in later years. Mary somehow saved $500.00 to send young William ARCHER to school to be an Electrician so that he would have a trade.
I heard that years later, after Fern Talley's Dad died, and Mary TUCKER had died, Fern went to stay with William Emory ARCHER and his family until she married, I do not know where that was.
Fern did not know what happened to her brother when I spoke to her (she has now passed). She said she lost contact over the years and she thought her only brother had died.
I would love to contact any descendents of William Emory ARCHER born @1905 AR.
