My Great Grand-Father was Herman ARCHER b 1836-[A Rag and Paper Merchant] in Prussia-current favorite Baden---I have him in England from 1873 onwards-just possibly in Massachusetts USA in 1871 Occup A Painter-his Father was Aaron[b Est 1810-1815] a merchant per Hermans marriage certificate-not found him anywhere-Herman declared himself a German subject from Prussia in the English 1901 Census-he died in 1908
Can anyone help me trace Herman[n] or Aaron please
i am also aware that a Herman ARCHER b 1836 arrived in New York on 22 Dec 1847 on the ''Atlantic''from Bremen with his Mother Caroline b 1813 and siblings Henry b 1837 Charlotte b 1839 and Caroline b 1840-have not been able to trace this Family anywhere-it is also possible this was my Herman-so any further advice welcome
