Archer Family Genealogy Forum

First, Thank you for your response. I don't have anything that confirms that he remarried. I'm sure it is a possibility, but no family stories about it. The children you listed are the same that I have found and the parents you have listed are the ones I am looking into. From correspondence with others on ancestry.com it appears there is another Isaac Archer living in the Birmingham area around the same time who was a doctor. There is nothing at this time that suggests they are the same person. I have an Ambrotype of him from around 1880, and a tin type of him from a later date as a much older man, so I know he did not died during the civil war, but I have not been able to place him (with records) after the mid 1800's. My grandfather said he remembered him, which would suggest he lived to be over 100. I will look into the Texas census record. Thanks again. This side of my family has been difficult to find.
