the key may be in the "Isaac Jr.". as Isaac, the father of Joab,Eleanor,Matilda,Virtueous & Robert was a son of William Armfield Jr.,he was not a Jr.. Then, the Isaac Jr. would be the son of Isaac Sr. on the other line. also, I neglected to mention that Robert, the son of Joab and Susannah Armfield also shows up in the 1860 census in the family of Joab and Susannah Armfield. In regard to Guilford County Macy's, the Macy's were Quaker People who came to Guilford County in the quaker migrations from Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, just before, during and after the revoloutionary war. check quaker records for information and possibly a work which i have seen in book form and on microfiche, "Vital Records of Nantucket to 1850". Many Macy's went on to Indiana about the same time that Joab Armfield and his sisters did. There is still a Quaker Meeting House and cemetery about 3 to 5 miles north of manilla, walker twsp.,rush county, indiana where the Armfields here in question settled. There are Macy's in that cemetery if I remember correctly. There are Macy's in our line(back on Nantucket Island) so I always take notice of the name when it shows up.
