Hi all you descendents of Henry Arnot,
Here is some of my email to Mark, I think we need a society for the descendents of Henry Arnot. It is intereting to see a McCarty here, since my grandfather played pro football for the Ironton Tanks on their undefeated 1822 team. He is listed as Dutch McCarthy (his mother, Agnes Fisher was German) in the newspaper clipping, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Tanks1922.jpg
but McCarty on picture still on the stadium wall, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:1922Tanks_close.jpg
Henry Arnot is my great great great great great great grandfather. I guess that means we are related. I have information going backwards, if you are interested (see tree attachments). I think I have solved my branch of the descendents of Sarah Arnot (and Henry). Sarah is myy grandmother's great grandmother.
I have located Sarah Arnot to Walnut, Ohio Gallia county (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walnut_Township,_Gallia_County,_Ohio) and hope to find the graves of her, her husband Joseph L Baker, who you list on your web page, and their son, and his wife, Henry Baker and Janet Schultz. Janet may have moved to California the best I can tell, but their son Lewis stayed in the area and married someone from New Orleans, reported by family legend as gypsy royalty! I have seen the graves of their children, Edward Baker and Sarah Hardy.
There are a few societies for Truesdell descendents incuding a William Truesdell (Henry Arnot's wife's grandfather) but the society is for a William Truesdell Jr, so I am not sure we are related to these people.
I combined Henry's war background with my grandfather's competitve nature and became a chess master. http://www.geocities.com/bmcc333/bmcc.html
There you can see a picture of my game with the world champion, who held the world title after Bobby Fischer.
I also dabble a bit in science:
