I have also been searching for our Aukamp family. According to the information I received from my aunt, John Lewis Aukamp was married to Mary East. They had 14 children but I do not know their names. One of their children was Daniel who was my gg grandfather. He married Wilhelmina (Minnie) Leanig or Leanich. Their children were Louis and Albert who died as babies. Charlie died at age 19. Franklin Henry Aukamp was my grandfather. There was also William, Clarence who married Annie Smith, Grayce who married John Lengel, then Jack Sherburne and Wilhelmina (Minnie) who married Roy Good. Most of them lived in either Lancaster or Reading. Clarence's youngest son, Roy who is 90 years old is living in the Lutheran home at Topton. I visited him and his wife, Lorette in June but he could not give me much info about the Aukamp ancestors. My grandfather, Franklin married Marie Wolf. They had five children, Edgar who died at birth, Loraine (my mother) deceased, Marguerite (Peg) who celebrated her 99th birthday Sept. 10, Ardath who is 91 and Gwendolyn who died March 2001. I hope this is helpful to you and would like to hear from you soon. I need to go to Lancaster to do further research on our family. By the way, I have a newspaper clipping about George Aukamp when he celebrated his last birthday. Have you heard more from Peter Aukamp in Germany. He had responded to Kathleen Puls in April but to my knowledge has had no contact since then. I would be interested in any info on the Aukamps.
