I am only related to the Aulbach's by marriage. My great grandfather's sister in law was Ruth Aulbach Sellers. Her father was Adam Aulbach. My aunt ran across a profile on him in the book "History of North Idaho", written in 1903. Adam and Eva Aulbach were his parents. They had four children, Adam, John, Josephine Beck, and Mary C. Stratz. The profile traces Ruth's father through his life, the different places he lived and his career.

Here is a paragraph which tells of Adam and his parents:
"Adam Aulbach was born near Belleville, Illinois, on Dec 24, 1846, the son of Adam and Eva Aulbach, natives of Aschaffenburg, Bavara. The father was a captain in the army many years, came to the United States in 1842 and located six miles south of Belleville. Later he moved to Belleville and followed merchandising until his death, in 1889. He had been alderman for twenty-four years. The mother was married in the native land, and died in Bellevill in 1887."

That is all that there was on the parents besides the list of their children towards the end of the sketch. If this helps and you would like the whole thing, just let me know.
