Searching for Robert Austill's parents. This Robert Austill is the father of Lillian, Susie, Allie, JB (or RB), and Luther. Allie Austill, my late grandfather, is the father of Malcolm, Allie Jr. (Buddy), J.N. (Curly), Bobby (my father), Tommy, Billy, Patrica, David, and Jerry Austill. Robert Austill was married to Annie Yount while living in Tipton County, Tennessee. Annie died at an early age in 1923, and then Robert married again to Irene Booth and lived in Arkansas before returning to Tennessee in the 1950's. In the 1920 census, his records indicate that both his father and mother were from Alabama. Robert was also born in Alabama. However, the 1930 census indicates that although his mother was born in Alabama, his father was born in Texas. Not sure which one is correct. Robert Austill could not be found in either the 1900 or 1910 census, and the 1890 Alabama census currently only has one county (through Genealogy.com that is). Robert's middle name starts with an L. and is believed to be Leslie. Does anyone that has records other than the U.S. census have Robert L. Austill (Austell)(Austil)(Austel) listed with any parents. His age was 35 in 1920 and is believe to have been born in 1886 or 1887 in Alabama. He was a farmer.
