Allen S. Avery
BENTON, LA - Services for Allen S. Avery, age 85, will be at 11:30a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Ken Price of Grace Baptist Church in Many, LA. Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Rocky Mount, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
Mr. Avery was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Many, LA. He was a retired Insurance Salesman. Allen serviced his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Preceding Allen in death are one brother and two sisters.
Mr. Avery is survived by his wife of 40 years, Frances Ivey Avery, sons, James Lawson and wife Mary, of Benton, LA, Harold Lawson and wife Peggy Sue of Noble, LA, grandchildren, Rebecca Stone, Amanda Smith, Dawn Hodges, Rhea Hodges, Jeremy Hodges, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Mr. Avery as pallbearers will be family and friends. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
