You have this formatted in a way which is a bit confusing. It is Nathan Wheeler AYER who married Susanna B. WHEELER.
The Lee VR has this marriage Vol. 2, p. 110 "Nathan W. of Preston, Connecticut., and Joanna B. Wheeler, int. Apr. 30, 1842."

This couple also had a son, William Nathan, b. Feb. 3, 1843 (Lee VR, 1:10) and a daughter Anna Florence, both died in the autumn of 1846 of scarlet fever. Anna was 1 yr 6 mo. on Oct. 9, 1846 when she died.
