Seasons Greetings Michael,

I've just been looking at the names of people who signed the Ulster Covenant in 1912. There was a John Ayre who gave his address in Belfast as 3, Harland Stree, Ballymacarrett. He signed the Covenant in Kiangsu Province, Nanking, China as he was a member of the crew of H. M. S. Monmouth which must have been doing a tour of duty there at the time.
