Have read your postings with interest. Given the proximity of Yorkshire and Staffordshire, I'm wondering if you may have any information on a Mary Ayre who married a William Ash b. abt 1818 who was a police constable and was born in Tean, Staffordshire. William and Mary had five children: Frederick, William, John, Annie, and Ellen. My family connection is from John (who married a Catherine Annie Kenyon of Lancashire) and who served as a gardner on the estate of the Earl of Derby in Knowsley, Lancashire from 1884 to 1887. I'd greatly apprecate any info or directions. Thanks.
