I am interested in hearing more about your Babington research in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana. This seems to be similar to the emigration route followed by my Babington ancestor.
All I know of my ancestor is that her name was Mary Babington, b. 27 Feb 1795. She married James Smith Garoutte in New Jersey in 1809, and had two children there. They moved to Ohio where they had seven more children (1818-1829). Then in 1830 they moved to St. Joseph Co., Indiana. Sadly, Mary Babington Garoutte was frozen to death on 16 Feb 1831 while trying to return home from helping a neighbor woman in birth.
