I have in my possession a Bible given to me by my mother. The Bible was in in her grandmother's things.
I will transcribe the names and dates as I see them knowing that some of the handwriting is difficult to read.
In pencil on the inside cover someone wrote as follows:
Mrs R.D. Fuqua
Wilbur, Wash
Oct 10, 1895
Then there was a hand written letter slipped in just after the cover on small sized piece of watermarked stationary that reads as follows:
Mayrim (Not sure what this says)
Oct 19th
Dear Brother
Bro Block (could be Black/Bloch) informed me that Bro Fuqua's had lost another child and desired that I should preach the funeral. I can come and preach it the second sabbath in November. (Divine Volition permitting) which will be the 8th of said month.

In the middle of the Bible there are some family records hand written in ink ( I will write as it reads - excuse the tenses - I am not correcting anything)

Mathew Johns and Jane Arabelle Fuqua was married December 24 1880
R.B. Dawson and Jane Reynolds was married March 16th 1836 they was Mary Fuqua's Parents

R.D. Fuqua was born on the 4th day of September 1835
Mary Fuqua was born 1843. 12th month and 6th day.
Celia Fuqua was born July 8 1860
Jane Arabelle Fuqua was born Jan 14 1862
Thomas Jefferson Fuqua was born October 1 1869
Roberta Rose or Joise Fuqua was born July 3 1879
then is says something like "own" children of R D and M F Fuqua
James Henry Backman was born Nov tenth 1880 at Astoria Oregon
Mary Rosella Backman was borned July ? 1882 at Astoria Oregon
Florence *dell Johns was borned Nov 6th 1881 Astoria Oregon
Nellie Belle Johns was borned June 12th 1887 Astoria Oregon
Charles Arthur Martin was borned April 25 1915
These are the grand-children of R D and M F Fuqua. fine in all. <not sure what that means>
Deaths
Madorie Elizabeth Fuqua died July 1 1867
Celia Ann Backman wife of J H Backman and daughter of R D and M F Fuqua died April 2 1885
Thomas Jefferson Fuqua died October first 1885
R D Fuqua died March 10 - 1909
