Mary Kate Showman Bailey, 73, of Limestone, Washington Co
TN, died Monday at Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation
in Chuckey, TN.
Ms. Bailey was a member of Limestone Free Will Baptist
Church.
Ms. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin
and Florence Showman; two sisters, Ruth Davis and Lucille
Jeffers; and two brothers, Robert Showman and Hubert
Showman.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and
Lisa Bailey of Limestone, TN; one stepgranddaughter,
Sunnie Edwards of Limestone, TN; one sister, Dorothy
Campbell of Kingsport, TN; several nieces and nephews; two
sisters-in-law, Ann Showman of Kingsport, TN, and Ruth
Showman of Kingston, TN; and special friends, Randy and
Twana Summie, and Rachel Ritchie, all of Limestone, TN.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.,
Thursday, August 13, 2009, at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 p.m., in
the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Donnie Bailey will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday
morning, August 14, 2009, in Limestone FWB Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Lawhern, Dwight Edwards, Danny
Jeffers, Randy Summie, Steve Archer, and John David
Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will include family and
friends and the staff of Durham-Hensley Health and
Rehabilitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Limestone
Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 5, Limestone, TN 37681.
