Mary,
As far as I know my Bailey were from Ireland,all info point to that direction.
My line is Allen Bailey in Abbeville 1790 and 1800.
Nathaniel and James was there same area 1790/1800 and I believe they were brother,uncle or cousin to Allen,not sure which?All between the ages of 26/46.
The Nathaniel that md Ann E in 1773,Ninety Six before becoming Abbeville in 1785 was at least 20 or so years old by 1773.
I guess not the same family you are looking for.
