Thank you for the reply to my initial query. Unfortunately, Baillie was not recognized as a war artist. The art curator of the Canadian War Museum could find no record of his wartime paintings, but did find a reference to him having an exhibit at the Vancouver Public Library during the 1930's. The library was not able to provide any more substantive information. I know of only three warship paintings by Baillie - one extremely large painting of a corvette (no pennant number visible) hangs in the dining room of the Wardroom at HMCS Stadacona in Halifax. The other two, smaller in size, hang in the HMCS Bytown Naval Officers' Mess in Ottawa. One of these depicts an MTB, the other a corvette. Once more, no pennant numbers are visible.
