I am looking for information about my grandfather's family. His father was James Baillie born about 1886 in Cambuthnesthan, Scotland who married Jane Dutton from Great Wyrley, Staffordshire in Rhyl, North Wales in 1913. Why she was there, I have no idea - he was there because he was the golf course keeper. They had three children, Allan, Neil (1915, my grandfather) and Betty, all in Rhyl. Later they moved to USA, leaving Neil aged about 6 behind in Staffs with the Duttons (ill health). James and Jane made money in USA, then lost it I believe! They divorced and she remarried an Aaron Watts or Watson ... Allan remained in New York and never married; Betty moved to Canada and married someone rich (something to do with copper mines) but had no children. Jane died in the 1960s and her body was flown home to Staffs; have no idea what happened to James. My dad remembers being taken to Lanarkshire, Scotland by his father in the late 40s when Neil came out of the army (he became a sergeant in the Black Watch) and staying with James's sister Jessie (may be called Janet). Having very little success with this line and would be grateful for any help! Thanks Deb Notify Administrator about this message?
