what makes you think John was from Glasgow and how do you know where Mary Ann is from. I am related by the way through her daughter Mary Ann. I think they were married before they left for Australia. I found a marraige record for a John Baillie in Lancashire in 1847. Ps do you know when they came over? I think it was 1848.
